Sunshine Coast is host to a huge array of fun and entertainment for the family, the couple, or the lone adventurer. We’ve compiled a short list of some of what this sunny holiday destination has to offer…


The Big Pineapple

This 112 hectare plantation grows a variety of tropical fruit, as well as the very sought after macadamia nut, but is most famous for its overgrown fibreglass pineapple at the front of the property. It is located on Nambour Connection Road at Woombye, and is an entertaining and educational attraction which houses a video display on tropical fruit growing.

Take a ride in a Nutmobile or miniature Cane Train. Open between 9am and 5pm daily.


Aussie World

A free tourist park on the Bruce Highway between Caloundra and Maroochydore, Aussie World has free rides, attractions, shopping, dining, local arts and crafts. And it is right next door to the Ettamogah Pub (Part of Australian folklore)

There is also fun for everyone with an Aboriginal Cultural Centre, boomerang throwing exhibitions, blacksmithing demonstrations, stock whip demonstrations, sheep shearing where children can feed a lamb and billy tea and damper.


Eumundi Market

This is where it is at on the Sunshine Coast. The Eumundi Markets, located in the centre of Eumundi are open on Wednesday and Saturday each week. They are nestled in amongst heritage listed fig trees that provide wide shady walkways.

Browse over 500 stalls, taste the produce, be entertained by the local musicians, enjoy the atmosphere.
