90 minutes north of Brisbane in the small town of Yandina is the Ginger Factory, the largest ginger processing plant in the Southern Hemisphere.

It has a motor-museum, dolls cottage, Koala Kottage, and Macadamia Kitchen and of course an audio visual explaining the growing, processing and crystalisation of ginger. And what Ginger factory would be complete without a miniature Ginger train to take you on a tour of the working ginger farm?

Open every day except Christmas Day between 9am and 5pm.

The Big Pineapple

This 112 hectare plantation grows a variety of tropical fruit, as well as the very sought after macadamia nut, but is most famous for its overgrown fibreglass pineapple at the front of the property. It is located on Nambour Connection Road at Woombye, and is an entertaining and educational attraction which houses a video display on tropical fruit growing.

Take a ride in a Nutmobile or miniature Cane Train. Open between 9am and 5pm daily.
